The Neighborhood

Established in 1924 by the Jewish National Fund, the Mekor Haim neighborhood was named after Haim Cohen, a businessman from Kharkiv. Haim’s sons had donated funds to purchase the land in honor of their parents’ golden wedding anniversary.
The neighborhood was designed by acclaimed architect Richard Kauffman to retain a distinctive rural character.
In recent years, Mekor Haim has undergone significant urban
